Springfield Museums to Host a Full Day of Fun on March 2

Dr. Seuss Birthday Party 2024

Saturday, March 2, 10:00 am–5:00 pm; free with Museums admission.

Springfield — In honor of Theodor Seuss Geisel’s 120th birthday on March 2, the Springfield Museums have planned a full day of family-friendly fun!

“It will be a sweet celebration of Ted Geisel on what would be his 120th birthday,” says Family Engagement Coordinator Abby Garner. “Join us for hands-on crafts, activities, and games throughout the day!”

As Seuss might say: You’ll see the Cat. The Lorax. And the bubble guy too! Make a cake-hat. Or a bookmark. Catch a red fish – or two!

“This wonderful annual party is not only fun, but it also gives the Museums a chance to emphasize the importance of literacy and creativity as a whole,” says Director of Education Larissa Murray.
