ON JUNE 24 AT FORT HILL BREWERY IN EASTHAMPTON
Springfield, MA (6/1/18) – The third annual Barks & Brews event, presented by Dakin Humane Society, will take place on Sunday, June 24 at Fort Hill Brewery in Easthampton. The event will begin with a VIP Hour from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., with general admission taking place from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
VIP admission tickets, which are sold out, are $50 and entitle the holder to a Barks & Brews t-shirt, VIP parking, a complimentary beer and appetizers served during that hour. General admission tickets are $25 and include a complimentary beer and free parking. At this time, a limited number of general admission tickets are available online at Dakin’s Facebook Barks & Brews event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1782524425125634/). All attendees of the event must be at least 21 years old.
Guests are invited to bring crowd-friendly dogs on a non-retractable leash (retractable leashes are not allowed). Vendors will be on-site, as will food trucks (Bistro Bus and Holyoke Hummus) and dog activities, including the Splash Zone, provided by North King Animal Clinic, which offers wading pools to cool off overheated dogs. Other features available will include nail trimming for dogs by Fur’s A Flyin’ Pet Grooming and Day Camp, baths by HydroDog, treats by Paw Street Barkery, photobooth family portraits by The Good Dog Spot, and puppy accessories by SassyPuppyCo. KIX 100.9 personalities Amanda Jo and Mike Salois will be on hand to entertain the crowd.
Barks & Brews is an important annual fundraiser for Dakin, a 501(c)(3) organization. Last year’s event generated $25,000 for animals in need, and the goal for 2018 is $35,000. A 50/50 raffle will be held at the event, but ticket holders need not be present to win.
