Today’s feature is Jo Ann Robinson. There were MANY people who worked behind the scenes to make sure the movement progressed. Without their tireless work, the civil rights movement would have stagnated and never accomplished as much as it did. Ms. Robinson serves as an example that there is more to organizing than giving speeches. It’s about grassroots organizing to set the foundation for large movements.
