January 15th: The Pastor’s Council of Greater Springfield presented their Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. service with guest Preacher Bishop John Bryant, Retired Senior Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (center) at St. John’s Congregational Church.

“The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity with the Sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta Sororities, Jack & Jill of America, Habitat for Humanity, Youth of Mt Zion Baptist Church and AmeriCorps joined with MLK Jr. Family Services, Inc. to provide 125 turkeys with the trimmings to families in need this past Thanksgiving. Theta Iota Lambda Chapter of A Phi A has been keeping this tradition of providing this community service for over 40 years.”
