On the tenth day of Black History Month, we honor Robert Parris Moses, commonly referred to as Bob Moses. This man was the mastermind behind the Mississippi Freedom Summer and the tactics of SNCC and COFO. He graduated from Harvard before coming to Atlanta upon the request of organizing virtuoso Bayard Rustin. His philosophy around organizing and civic engagement are things that everyone should learn, especially in these uncertain times. He is truly a great man who embodies the attributes of a leader of the people.
