Today’s feature is arguably one of the most important figures in the Civil Rights Movement, Rosa Parks. She started the Civil Rights Movement on December 1st, 1955, when she refused to give up her seat to a white person. This led to her arrest, which led to the Montgomery Bus Boycotts, which led to the sit-ins, which led to lobbying for voting rights, and so on. What an amazingly powerful Black woman! She shows us that no moral and righteous act is too small to garner the attention of the world and history. Let us honor her memory and work!
